Seedbed – February 2014

January 24, 2014

This month’s most exciting posts, resources, and releases from Seedbed.

•     We’ve just launched our brand new Seedbed app! Download it to your smartphone today! iTunes | Google Play

•     We recapped our top posts of 2013.

•     We celebrated our 2nd birthday on January 6th, the Day of Epiphany.

•     We released Ten Words, Two Signs, One Prayer, the third and final installment of Timothy Tennent’s book series on catechesis.

•      Homosexuality and the Church, a new Seedbed book from Howard Snyder, approaches the question of homosexuality with both prophetic nerve and pastoral sensitivity as he invites honest dialogue and authentically Christian conversation.

•      We launched The Fellowship of the New Room, a unique community dedicated to re-digging of the deep wells of the doctrine, spirit and discipline of Wesleyan Methodism. Join us in the Fellowship.

•      We’re excited to introduce Seed Thoughts, our new Seedbed-branded Scout Book that gives you a place to save your ideas and share some love. Here’s some fun we had with ours.

•      As you may be considering a church-wide study during the 2014 Lenten season, take a look at CREED. CREED is a seven-week reflection guide on the Apostle’s Creed, and for churches nationwide, is serving as a vital resource for individuals, small groups, and whole congregations. While this study will work in churches of any size, it is priced affordably with smaller congregations in mind.

•      We are pleased to announce that we’ll soon be launching the long-awaited Seedbed Podcast, affectionately called “The Threshing Floor.” The Threshing Floor is a conversational podcast focusing on young thought leaders of the Wesleyan movement. Stay tuned to Seedbed.com for more details.

•     Seedbed author and blogger Howard Snyder saw his blog post, 14 Favorite Ways to Twist the Gospel, go viral.

•      Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter and receive a pdf of SEEDS: A Scattering of Groundbreaking Ideas from the Wesleyan Movement, as well as weekly updates, announcements of new releases, special promotions and more.
