The Asbury Shepherd’s Fund
The Shepherd’s Fund is for great men and women of the faith that have given their lives to serve others. We know that many of you have given to the Body of Christ sacrificially and have not retired with large retirement funds or bank accounts, and have little money to meet the needs that can arise in the latter years. That is where the Shepherd’s Fund can help.
The Shepherd Funds exists to help retired ministers during their time of need, whether it is the minister or their spouse. Retired clergy can apply to receive financial help (up to 10K per year) for expenses that can occur during a health care crisis. We want our retired alumni shepherds and their spouses to focus on healing rather than worrying about bills. This will give our retired alumni and their spouses time to properly recover or deal with that hard situation without the additional financial burden. They can rest assured that the Shepherd’s Fund will be there to help meet the need when hard times hit.
We have made the application process easy whether applying through mail or online. Not only can the minister apply, but a family member or a denominational leader can submit the application for the retired minister or spouse. We will take the application, quickly investigate the need to ensure the best and most proper use of the funds, then pay the hospital or vendor directly so our retired shepherd can focus on what really matters.
We are honored that God has given us the opportunity to be a blessing to the alumni shepherds who have so faithfully served God and all of us.

Qualifications:
Must be a retired Asbury Seminary alumni or spouse
Must have a legitimate health care crisis

Yes ma’am! Asbury is working together with Phillip to get these funds to the people who deserve them. The foundation he represents is the same foundation funding our Shepherd’s Fund.
