NEW BOOK FROM THE PEN OF DR. SHIVRAJ K. MAHENDRA

Dr. Mahendra’s new book, Lived Missiology: The Legacy of Ernest and Phebe Ward (Fishers For Christ, 2021), has recently been published. Already an accomplished author, this book is a worthy addition to Dr. Mahendra’s repertoire. This biography of the Wards serves to engage the reader and impart wisdom about missiology and the Global Church. UPDATE FROM AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST PHILIPPINES

God produced 24 graduates of our online Certificate in Christian Ministry (CCM) in Japan after one year of going through the whole curriculum with 10 core subjects, 2 seminars and 1 non-credited subject. Pastors testified that most of their ministry gaps in their local churches are now filled-in by these new graduates. Our virtual graduation speaker Pastor Nilo Valente stressed that we need not fear of the pandemic but must increase our faith in the living God and seek God first. The second level is the Diploma in Christian Ministry (DCM) which can only be availed by those who finished the CCM. Rejoice with us! God is very gracious to give us 12 in Samar and 16 in Japan who will go through the DCM, a one year course. Our CCM enrollees are 30 in Samar, 12 in Surigao, 8 in Japan and 1 in Europe or a total of 51. We now have 79 students for CCM and DCM who will start classes on the 7th of November 2021 in partnership with Shekinah Alliance Bible College (SABC). Our concern for scholarship grants are students in Samar and Surigao. These are typhoon belt areas and lairs of Communist Rebels where life is very hard and the Gospel hardly penetrates.

Items for PRAISES AND PRAYERS.
1. Praise God for keeping all our families in our team in good health free from the strike of COVID.
2. We survive by the grace of God despite financial challenges.
3. Praise God for providing the needed funds for the purchase of a brand new desktop computer capable enough to do audio and video editing, recording, and a hub for our two separate zoom online classes and soon our “google classes”. Robert “Bob” takes care of our technology and computer programs even as he voluntarily serves 2 churches in Davao City.
4. Please pray with us that many will join Ambassadors For Christ Philippines (AFCP) in equipping missionaries, pastors and church planters in challenging places like Japan, Surigao and Samar. We need scholarships for 54 students in Samar and Surigao at $200.00 for each and every student for the whole year fees. We only charge a very low payment to each and every student in Samar and Surigao as their counterpart due to their low socio-economic situation.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF DR. ALFRED KALEMBO

The autobiography of Bishop Alfred Kalembo, Breaking Barriers, is his fascinating story of growing up in a remote African village, securing an education against all odds, becoming a minister of the gospel, and finally serving as Chairman of the Council of Churches of Zambia, his homeland. This is an amazing account of how a boy, who had no shoes until he was 15, would later preach the eulogy at the funeral for the president of Zambia. With compassion for the poor and marginalized of his country, his influence has spread into many African nations as well as the United States.
