Clifford Avery Binion, 66, of Roundhill, Kentucky, passed away on September 14, 2026, at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by the love of his family.

Cliff was born on September 11, 1960, in Dayton, Ohio, to Autie and Meta Binion. He was the third of four children and was a graduate of Butler County High School in 1978. After a brief collegiate career, he enlisted in the United States Submarine Force as a Nuclear Machinist’s Mate. He served onboard the nuclear submarine, USS Sam Rayborn. After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, he began a career as a technical writer and maintenance instructor at several nuclear power plants across the country.

His life was deeply influenced by his faith, as he received his master’s in divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2013. He answered a call to ministry by serving as a pastor in Vaucluse, South Carolina. His faith remained an important part of his life and provides comfort to those who now mourn his passing.

Cliff was known for his exceptional sense of humor, loving to get a rise out of his friends and family. With his humor and quick wit, he had a talent for keeping those around him laughing. He was a diehard University of Kentucky basketball fan, an avid cigar aficionado, and a man who appreciated the simple pleasure of spending time with family at his favorite spot; the hill. But above everything else, Cliff loved his family. Cliff was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Dr. Ellen Crean Binion, and a proud father to his son Kyle Binion (wife Krystle) and his daughter Katie Leguizamon (husband Sam). He was the adoring big brother to Carl Binion (wife LeeAnn) and uncle to Lucas, Logan, and Landon (wife Kate). Few things brought him more joy than to hear giggles and little footsteps running through his house. He was Papaw to Nolan and Natalie Binion, and Sophia, Eliza, and Leo Leguizamon. His children and grandchildren were his greatest source of pride, and nothing in this world meant more to him than his family.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Autie and Meta Binion; brother, Greg Binion; sister Sandy; and several other beloved members of his extended family.

2 Timothy 4:7-8

“I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”

Cliff finished his race surrounded by family who loved him deeply. His humor, stories, faith, and love will live on through the generations of his family who follow him.

Reverend Dr. Stephen Gary Price, 85, of Newark, Ohio, died unexpectedly, but peacefully, while sleeping in the quietest hours of Monday morning, September 7, 2026, at his home.

Born March 29, 1941, in Zanesville, he was a son of the late Homer Clayton & Beulah “Happy” Story (Brown) Price and a 1959 graduate of Licking Valley High School. Steve spent his early years in retail management, real estate, and teaching for Licking Valley and Coshocton School Districts. He was a past president of the Licking Valley Alumni Association and founded the Hanover-Toboso Scholarship Program. Steve enjoyed farming, restoring classic cars, and missionary work. His love for Christ led him to become a pastor in the Methodist Church.

Steve spent his life learning, teaching, and spreading the good word of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He traveled the world, most notably, Israel, Egypt, and Jordan during his biblical studies. Many of Steve’s travels were missionary trips, helping establish churches and parsonages so others could share in his joy of Jesus. His faith was so strong that he made it his life’s work to see Christianity spread across the world. So much so that he received his Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1997, though he didn’t boast about his accomplishment.

Steve spent his later years living part time in Ohio and the other half of the year in Naples, Florida. No matter where he was living, he enjoyed eating out with his many friends and chatting about the goodness of God. He always enjoyed fellowshipping and a good meal. To no one’s surprise, Steve was the ultimate prayer warrior and would pray for others devoutly. Steve’s life could be summed up as faithful, loving, and filled with joy. He will be deeply missed.
