The Alumni Mentor Program allows Asbury Seminary alumni to invest in the vocational formation of Asbury Seminary students by sharing their knowledge, experience, and giftings in a mentoring relationship. By participating in the mentoring program, mentors and students foster meaningful, mutually beneficial, one-on-one relationships.
The mentoring relationship requires a six-month commitment that both parties can renew throughout the student’s seminary journey. We are now taking requests from mentors who would like to be matched with a student beginning in Fall 2023. Click here to BECOME A MENTOR or LEARN MORE.
I am a retired clergy who served in the UMC churches since 1992 as an ordained minister. Also, I am an alumni of ATS (MDiv and PhD).
I’ve been suggesting this for years….so glad that it’s happening. As a chapel host for the Tampa campus, I’m blessed to have some touch points with current students, and given that many who come there don’t get the “full Asbury experience”, I think that mentors to help “shepherd” them could be great!
