Seedbed Announcements

February 4, 2013

Seedbed Announces New Release from Maxie Dunnam.

This could be his most important book since The Workbook of Living Prayer. It will work great for a spring (Lent) or Fall Church wide study. It’s called The Intercessory Life: Breaking the Impossibility Barrier.

Maxie Dunnam’s latest forty-day study, The Intercessory Life: Breaking the Impossibility Barrier, challenges us to get beyond the cozy comforts of a “devotional” life and break into ways of living prayer that literally open new horizons of possibility. The Intercessory Life teaches a way of prayer that is more than just praying. This life is a daily fusion of sanctuaries and streets, of human pain with divine power, of turning impossible barriers into promising breakthroughs.

Yes, right now. Yes, in your world. In your church. In your home. In a prison. In a school. On the bus. In the office. On the street. This book teaches practical ways to bring us into the prayer closet and to unleash the practice of prayer in our everyday lives.

Through his patented way of teaching the Bible, Dunnam inspires faith with powerful stories and provokes action with practical exercises. Familiar, almost ethereal phrases like “abide in Christ” and “abundant life” are dissected, turned over, rearranged—inviting us to a deeper, clearer understanding of what it means to live as a light-bearing intercessor in a world still stuck in the shadows.

The Intercessory Life is great for small groups but flexible enough for individual and well suited for a community-wide study. Or try it for a season around the family table.

God can do a lot in forty days through those willing to take risks on the journey of faith. Maxie Dunnam gives us bold guidance in what may be his best work yet. Learn more about the resource and volume discounts here.

Coming Soon: The Seedbed Conference Room Initiative.

This spring Seedbed will roll out the first of an ongoing series of short web based conferences designed to provide just-in-time training for ministry leaders. The idea is simple. You gather a group of your staff or key leaders in your conference room and we will gather key teachers and master practitioners in our conference room.  Then we will stream a live presentation into your gathering with the ability for text Q & A and feedback. The conferences will be offered live and made available for registrants “on-demand” for six months following the live event. Expect to see mini-conferences on a wide range of topics, including Best Practices of Church Budget Building and Finance, Leading from the Second Chair: The Effective Associate Pastor, Providing Intentional Spiritual Formation for your leaders, and many more. Our first conference room session will be with Dr. Bob Kaylor on effective leadership transitions in the local church on April 27, 2013.
